Celebrating your birthday from home

Having a birthday indoors isn’t as bad as it seems. It’s your chance to plan a party for you, just the way you like it from the comfort of your own home!

Throw a virtual party!

Pour yourself a drink and get your friends and family together for a party over video. You could entertain them with a birthday quiz all about you or the year you were born. This will really get them thinking!

Make yourself a birthday cake

You could order yourself a birthday cake or you could spend time making one all for yourself. Baking your cake also means you can make exactly what you want, whether that’s a Victoria sponge, double chocolate fudge or carrot cake!

Get dressed up

If you love to get all dressed up on your birthday, then do it! You could even stick to a theme like 1920s glam, your favourite film character or a famous musician. There are so many options you could choose from.

Turn up your party anthem playlist

It’s time to whip out at the classic hits and sing at the top of your lungs!

Movie marathon

Stock up on popcorn and turn on your favourite films or binge that TV boxset that you’ve been meaning to watch.

Dinner for two

If you’re in isolation with your partner you could organise a romantic candlelit meal or order yourself a takeaway as a special birthday treat.

Enjoy your garden

If you’re lucky enough to have a garden, take advantage of it. If the weather is nice, you could put a blanket down and have a cosy picnic.

Pamper yourself with a home spa

Get in to your dressing gown, smother on a facemask, put a slice of cucumber on your eyes and make a cup of tea. These are all fantastic ways to help you look and feel great!

We hope this has given you or someone you know a few ideas on how to have a great birthday during self-isolation.
